No one even came close to David Cook tonight!!! WOW! I was so touched that he cried too, cause although he is consistently good, I think he has been a little cocky lately. He was, by far, my favorite. In fact, if his version of that song were available right now, I would buy it!
My second choice was Jason Castro. Just my kind of singer, I guess.
Close third was little David A.
After that, surprisingly, Kristy did a good job on her song. (Except the little twang that snuck in occassionally.)
I thought Syesha's performance was ok.
I did NOT like Carly at all and Brooke royally screwed up....poor girl.
What was up with the whole fast food analogy? Did you hear Simon giving Paula advice on what to say to Carly? She didn't know how to tell her she sucked and Simon whispered..."Do you want some advice? Tell her...." then they cut his mike off. It was funny. Paula has the hardest time telling people when they don't do well. Overall, tonight was a better night for most than last week though.

OH, and my prediction is that everyone who has been voting for Michael Johns will now be voting for David Cook. Agree?
I LOVE DAVID COOK ... I just want Tuesdays to come so I can hear him sing again and that is what American Idol is all about for me :) I was really moved/touched by his crying and getting emotional over the praise he got today. He's MY IDOL all the way!
I thought David A. was great tonight too - he just looked awkward on stage like I wanted him to quit moving his hands!
Jason was good but not my favorite performance of his.
I really liked Brooke even though she messed up. She's in my #3 spot right now.
For the first time tonight I could see why Carley isn't everyone's favorite. She is great when she belts it out - but there were glaring weaknesses tonight.
Syesha and Kristy ... I don't care!
For me, it's all about the Davids, Jason and Brooke from here on out!
But really, I ADORE DAVID COOK!!!!
WOW!!! David Cook is just the BEST!!! I love to hear what he comes up with each week. He truly is the most talented all around. I too got a tear in my eye when I saw David get teary-eyed.
I liked Jason and David A.--they were good, but nothing compared to David Cook.
Sayesha did good too.
Poor Brooke-- I noticed that she was singing the song really fast like she was trying to get it over with. Did you notice how they were zoomed in to her face at the end and how her lips and cheeks were quivering? You could tell that she was very nervous.
I think that Carly will go home this week.

I did notice Brooke quivering. I actually thought, 'has she always quivered like that for her performances?' You would have thought the camera guys would have cut her some slack and at least pulled away. Maybe the whole fame thing just isn't for her? (I do like her voice though!)
Yep, this week confirms it for me...David Cook deserves to win...but I want Jason and little David A to still do well enough so that I can buy some of their CD's in the future. Too bad we can't have three American Idols. Everyone else is disposable to me.
